- What is an active user?
- Anyone who signs up or signs in to your app during the month — counted once, however often they come back. Accounts nobody uses that month don’t count.
- Never cut off on paid plans
- Go past the users your plan includes and nothing stops. Extra users are simply added to your bill at your plan’s per-user price.
- The Hobby plan limit
- Over 1,000 active users, we’ll ask you to upgrade. After a 7-day grace period, new sign-ups pause until you do — people who already have an account can always sign in.
- Cancel any time
- Monthly billing, no contract. Change plan or cancel whenever you like.

What is Alt Auth?
A ready-made login for your website or app: sign-up, sign-in, password reset and a dashboard to manage your users. It carries your brand, and we keep it running and secure.
How long does it take to set up?
Most teams are live the same day. You set up your brand in the dashboard, and your developer adds the login link to your app — there is nothing to install. It works with any stack that can redirect to a URL and verify a signed token, with tested examples for React, Node/Express, Python and Go.
Which ways can my users sign in?
Email and password and Google on every plan, Hobby included. Two-step verification from Starter. Facebook and sign-in links by email from Growth. Apple, Microsoft and company single sign-on are coming soon.
Will it really look like my brand?
Yes. Starter adds your logo and colours and removes the small “Secured by Alt Auth” badge. Growth gives you full control of colours, fonts, buttons and background images, and puts the login on your own web address. Enterprise removes our name completely.
Is my users’ data safe?
Passwords are never stored in plain text, every connection is encrypted, and you get alerts about suspicious sign-ins. Higher plans add office-only access and a full history of who did what.
What if I grow?
Nothing breaks. On a paid plan, people over your included users are simply added to your bill. When a bigger plan works out cheaper, move up any time — it applies straight away and nothing in your app has to change.
